Bus transportation- for the Meet & greet, other tours
Still need to talk with bus company to see how much they will charge to use it all day for the tours to the San Diego Safari, the meet & greet with the Midway & also the tour to Nas North Island.
Welcome reception food
Still choices to make, once the final selection has been made it will be on the registration form.
Menu for the grand banquet- Do we want plate style or buffet style? Charlene made an excellent suggestion why not have a Hawaii style buffet that way people could get seconds or thirds if they wanted. Also, it would be more relaxing, and people wouldn’t have to wear casual business clothes. So be prepared to break out your Hawaii theme clothes for the grand banquet if we go that route.
T- Shirt company
Steve has contacted a company that would make our MVA clothing items for the 2026 reunion. The website to order MVA items will be left after the reunion to allow people to still order if they want to.
The conference call was adjourned at 6 pm by Steve.

Reunion 26 Planning Conference Call
Number # 2
The conference call was called to order by Steve at 3 Pm. Those on the conference call were as follows:
Steve De Cata, Ray Tillery and Tim Miller. Absent Tim Munderloh. The following items were discussed during the call. Steve pointed out that the board has received 2 proposals from 2 different hotels. The board has had a chance to look at those 2 different proposals. The board weighed both the pros & cons of those proposals. The board looked at & thought about the following in choosing what we felt was the best one for our members. The following agenda was used to make our choice. There were many things to think about in coming to our choice. These are the things that your board thought about.
- Hospitality room cost
- Room rate aka how much per night per guest
- If the hotel has a airport shuttle to & from airport to the hotel
- Parking fee, how per day if you drive to the hotel
- How near is our beloved ship located to the hotel
- Set up fee for the hospitality room
- Cut off date to get the rates quoted in the proposals
- What dates & time of the year, that we will have the reunion
The thought of the many different things that come into play when planning a reunion was considered, discussed and thought about. The board feels that now is not the time to release the hotel name or the dates of the reunion until much later in the year. There is still a lot of planning to be worked out. Your board is already working on the reunion plans. Rest assured we haven’t forgotten about our members.

Tim Miller & Ray Tillery have already visited 2 of the hotels that we are thinking about. Both feel that the second one would be a better fit overall. Tim Miller has already done 2 recon mission to one of the hotels. He stated his purpose for those recons were as follows:
- Distance from the hotel to Midway
